How durable is a framed canvas print?
Printseekers framed canvases use Epson UltraChrome GS3 eco-solvent inks, a pine inner frame and either cotton or polyester canvas. They are also PVC-free and B1 fire-rated.
For normal indoor use, the main care requirement is simply to remove dust with a soft, dry cloth and avoid excessive moisture or physical damage to the canvas surface.
Are framed canvas prints suitable for large-format wall art?
Yes. Printseekers framed canvas is available up to 150 × 100 cm / 60 × 40 in, making it suitable for large statement pieces as well as smaller artwork.
Larger formats benefit especially from the floating frame because it gives the canvas a finished presentation without adding glass or a heavy front panel.
Does the artwork wrap around the sides of a framed canvas?
The artwork is first stretched over a 19 mm pine stretcher frame, which sits inside the decorative floating frame.
Because the canvas edges remain visible inside the floating frame, the way you prepare the edge area of your artwork can affect the final appearance.
For designs with important details close to the edge, it is best to keep key elements safely inside the main printable area.
Should I choose cotton or polyester for a framed canvas?
Choose cotton canvas if you want a heavier, more traditional fine-art texture, and polyester if you prefer a lighter and more economical option.
Printseekers uses 300 g/m² canvas made from 99% cotton and 1% polyester, or 220 g/m² 100% polyester; both are printed using Epson UltraChrome GS3 inks.
What is the difference between a floating frame and a regular canvas?
A floating frame leaves a small visible gap between the stretched canvas and the outer frame, creating the effect that the artwork is suspended inside it.
This gives the piece a more gallery-style finish without covering the edges of the canvas.
